HEY ALL!

The annual board games day was just over and it happily coincides with HALLOWEEN WOOOO~ on the 31st of October! How cool :D

What is different between our usual board games day and our ANNUAL board games day is that..... anyone can attend and it is a whole day event where our board games are out there for anyone to play and just have fun! That's what board games club is all about; HAVING FUN WITH YA FRIENDS *winks*

Hey all, so..our annual BGC intra club competition was just over and after many hours of competing, we have our winners!

Where your knowledge and skill of the game will be put to test and the golden opportunity for you to shine ;D

Date: 26/9/2011, MONDAY!

Time: 12 noon to ABOUT 5.30 pm!

Venue: Normal Board Games meet up room!

Games involved:

} Black Friday - This game tests your luck in picking up the tiles, and skill to decide whether to buy shares or not.

} Dominion- This deck building game requires luck when drawing cards, and skill to build up own winning deck.

} Blokus- The Strategy game - the name says it all, plain skill to win.

} Loot- Luck to draw the best cards, skill to correctly play them.

} Coloretto- Requires Luck to open the cards and skill in making the correct decisions.

Dominon, Blokus, Loot and Coloretto are preliminary round games. The top 4 gamers will proceed to the final round, which Accquire will be played!

Registration Fee: $5, inclusive of $2 refreshments (A $3 Refund will be returned for attendance!)

Collection of fees will be during the meetup session! Make sure you come for the meet ups!

Hello everybody, it's been about 4 months since the start of the new school year and NP Board games club have been having a number of events so far :)

Some events such as our annual camp and Spore Con. So here are some photos for you to see what exciting stuffs have been happening ^^

First up is the Spore Con which is held annually. It is an event where all avid board gamers gather together and compete in selected board games to win prizes! So this year, the competition games were dominion and settlers of catan.

While registering our NP boardgamers, ensuring that everyone is able to compete :)

Look at the crowd! Goes to show that it was a successful event! This is during training time.

Another major event held is none other than NP BGC ANNUAL CAMP!! which bonds members and creates everlasting friendships.

ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY :D

So, during the first day, the campers played a game of hunters and seekers! It was a thrilling and exciting game where the seekers had to seek for clues and search for the safe house without being caught by the hunters.

And in the night, of course we had night games!

It was something like an amazing race except that everyone was blind folded.

There were water games during the second day and im sure everyone enjoyed it tremendously.

Colin specially came down to the loft just to have a few rounds with us :D

And finally, *sniff sniff* it's time to say good bye to our annual camp...

Hey all peeps! As you guys know, there will be a SPORE CON competition on 28th may (Settlers of Catan) and 29th may (Dominion). So of course, we will be holding training sessions for you to familiarise yourselves with the game(s)! There will be 2 training specially arranged for you guys to hone your skills before the competition! Both Settlers and Dominion competitors can come for either session.

Hey people, so the first meet up of our year went pretty well :)

We split all our games into 3 categories (Party, Mini and Strategic) and told our new members to pick whichever they liked. We were expecting the majority of the girls to pick party while the boys to go for strategic ones. Surprise surprise, almost 3/4 chose to play strategic games!!

CCA fiesta is approaching and the committee have been getting down to business! There were tons of things to be completed.. flyers, our board at the booth, souvenirs etc.

On the 13th of April, it was the IS cultural afternoon event. About 80 student nurses from various countries like Indonesia, Myanmar and China stayed at our school campus for a period of time.

The cultural afternoon event was organized to expose them to the Singaporean culture and also learn a thing or two about Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
Board games club was one of the stations and we chose 3 reaction games for the nurses to play and have fun!! Snorta, Firsthand and Jungle speed :)

Overall, this event was very well received by the student nurses. We could see bright smiles and hear loud laughters which proved that it was successful!
